Happy New Year Everyone!!!
I hope everyone had a fantastic time, we spent the eve of the new year and midnight with my family watching the fireworks in the city and then the next day with Brandon’s family. It’s been a while since I’ve spent New Year’s Eve with family, usually I spend Christmas with family and then spend New Year’s Eve with friends, so it was a nice change =). Plus it’s been years since I spent New Year’s Eve in the city, the last time I was 18 and with friends. It was packed and all of us was groped, so it wasn’t the most pleasant experience.
This year we were at Bradley’s Head near the Mast Head, it was ticketed, so it wasn’t too crowded and we had an amazing view, which was all thanks to the parents! If you were following my instagram, you would’ve seen the amazing shots! I’ll have to do an update post of my favourite photos from last year, as usual I’m behind on my editing =(, BUT I did recover those photos I deleted last year, not in RAW format unfortunately, only JPEG, but it’s better than nothing.
I just picked up the Logitech Keys-To-Go Ultra-Portable Keyboard today which I’m hoping will force me to blog more as we paid over $60 for it and we’re on a budget (I’m so lucky!). I’m actually blogging on it now, it’s really good so far, I just wish there was a shortcut for notifications to be shown.
I’ll update more as I keep using it, but YES! I can now easily blog instead of swiping on screen on my phone =).
I’m just blogging things as it comes to my mind at the moment, so much was happening during my break, especially om Christmas, that was crazy busy. We went to Brandon’s parents’ to meet up and then his Aunt’s for lunch, dropped by his other Aunt’s and finally ended up a Phillip’s place where had a late dinner and played/watched Until Dawn, I am not ashamed to admit my eyes found more exciting things to look at during the super suspenseful moments. We also watched Star Wars in IMAX, the world’s biggest screen, it was pretty intense. Actually we’ve seen a lot of movies recently, Spectre, Creed and Point Break. Creed and Star Wars were probably the best ones, a good balance of emotion, story and action.
We’ve finally implemented our budget this year, we have our spreadsheet updated with all our expected expenses and Money Lover set up to track what we’re actually spending with our budget parameters set in the app to make sure we don’t go over, here’s to a year of saving and eating in!
I feel like I’m typing way too much now, so till next time friends!
Farewell,
Helen ♥
P.S. Yes that’s the boyfriend in the background playing Just Cause 3 whilst I blog away =P.
